How Important Is Kitchen Design?

Kitchens are like cars. A well-designed car is more than just a combination of wheels, engine, seats, doors, and everything else. When you look at a BMW or Lexus, you see a cohesive, well-designed object, and so too, with a well-designed kitchen.

Our kitchen designers will work with you to create a cohesive kitchen out of these disparate parts. They bring the cabinetry, appliances, tile work, lighting, and everything else together to design a beautiful space for you and your family.

But our clients don’t only enjoy the results of our kitchen designs; they also enjoy the kitchen design process itself.

We Display Multiple Kitchen Designs in Our Showroom

Kitchen remodel with exposed wood beams on ceiling, large island, and gray stone countertops.

We designed our 3,000-square-foot showroom as a tool for our kitchen designers and clients. The showroom has several kitchen and bath designs on display to inspire creative ideas and guide our clients as they go through our kitchen design process. Whether you’re interested in a modern style, traditional, or contemporary, we have endless options.

Our clients enjoy being able to talk with our kitchen designers while surrounded by creative kitchen design ideas. They can see sample selections of tiles — some of our own, plus our favorites gathered from all the local tile stores.

They can also see and touch granite countertops, Caesarstone, Silestone, the innovative Cambria, and more. Not to mention cabinets by Dura Supreme, Medallion, Jay Rambo, and St. Martin, appliances by Kitchen Aid, GE, and more, as well as floors, all already integrated into kitchen designs.

This is especially helpful because our designers and clients work together to design the kitchen and don’t have to discuss choices based only on pictures. We believe the best kitchen designs result from collaboration between the designer and client.

In our showroom, this collaboration comes to life. You and your designer can use each display as a comparative tool to interactively design a kitchen. Our design software renders our creative collaboration in a nearly photo-realistic outcome, making it easier for our clients to make decisions.

An Entire Kitchen Design in One Place

Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths has everything you might need in your new kitchen. Our clients often tell us that one of their favorite things about us is that they don’t have to go to a countertop company one day, an appliance dealer the next, and a lighting store the day after. Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths is the only stop you need to design a kitchen.

Our location on East Gude Drive is surrounded by other design shops with whom we have great relationships. Just next door, Architectural Ceramics has incredible ceramic tile designers that supply some of our kitchen backsplash tile needs. A few yards in the other direction, we have the Ferguson Plumbing showroom.

Four blocks down the road are our lighting design friends at Rexal Electric’s showroom, and practically next door, we have Tribles Inc., a leading supplier of appliance replacement parts and repair advice.

Our location lets us easily visit other showrooms with you and look at thousands of possibilities for your kitchen design. All the while, you don’t have to establish relationships with numerous suppliers and contractors. With Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths, you need only establish one lasting and collaborative relationship.

We’d love to discuss possible kitchen designs and show you our beautiful displays at our showroom.

Frequently Asked Questions About Kitchen Remodels

If you’re considering a kitchen remodel, explore our frequently asked questions:

Before starting your kitchen remodeling project, important questions to ask your designer include:

  • Have you done a remodel like this one?
  • What’s the most important element of a functional kitchen design?
  • How do you stick to your budget?
  • What sort of guarantees do you offer?
  • How closely do you work with the builder?

The design process varies depending on the size of the project and any customizations. The overall average for a kitchen remodel is six to eight weeks.

First, choose your appliances. This will ensure they fit into the space you designate for them. Then, consider the layout, ensuring you account for the flow from one area of the kitchen to the next.

Finally, plan for lighting. The colors and design elements will be chosen later, but these three set the foundation for the rest of your decisions.

Yes, our expansive showroom lets you see many design elements and options in person. This can make it easier for you to picture your finished kitchen design.
