Chris & Laura were tired of their tired old master bathroom design. Their classic two story colonial on Quail Run in Mountain View Estates, Darnestown MD had not been remodeled since the early 90’s. “It was horrible, gross, it actually had carpet in It.” said Joe. Chris & Laura’s search for a better bathroom design led them to Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths. They met with Kitchen and bath designer Joe Gelletich. Over the course of several weeks they put together this beautiful bathroom design. The original space was completely gutted down to the joists and studs by Signature’s in house craftsmen.
New plumbing & electric was installed. The shower system was multi facet with temperature control, mixing and diverter valves for a shower design that included body spray, hand shower, rain shower head as well as a standard shower head. Once all the new infrastructure was installed & inspected the walls were closed in.
The bathroom cabinetry was one of Signature’s favorites & voted consistently on Houzz as many designers preferred line; Dura Supreme Cabinetry, a Chapel Hill Door with a white espresso glaze. The design included two Kohler sinks a seated make up space and was framed by two 57″ wall cabinets creating a very impressive look. The tub deck was also made to look like one massive cabinet through Joe’s creative use of cabinet panels. Almost all the plumbing fixtures & tile specified were Kohler and much of the tile was Dal-Tile.
When Darnestown gets snowed in Laura’s bathroom will be cozy in the tub or standing on the floor because the floors are heated. We used radiant heating from another one of our vendors Warmly Yours out of Illinois.
As a point of reference only and not indicative of what your bathroom design remodel might cost. This Darnestown bathroom design remodel was in the very high 60’s.
