Silver Spring Kitchen Remodeling Contractor gets thrown out!
We are very, very picky consumers. We have thrown contractors out of the house, while other contractors have refused to work for us after we explain to them our expectations. In fact, we had started the design work with another company. We weren’t happy with the way things were going and decided to meet with Joe of Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths. What a difference between him and the other company’s so-called designer! We started the design process with Joe and really liked his vision. There were lots of kitchen design flaws in our builder-grade kitchen: prep area was rather small and the range hood did not vent to the outside, so every time we cooked, we had to have an extra fan on or else the smoke alarms went crazy. Joe asked us a lot of questions we had not thought of and provided suggestions to get the kitchen we wanted. We did have a budget, so he reign us in, but we did end up spending more for quality products and Joe helped us with the decisions.
Kitchen design includes product specification
There are a lot of products out there, and we wanted a designer who could help us make the best decision for our money. I also did some research on my own on what products I wanted. When I complained that I couldn’t find the range and microwave I wanted, Joe came up with models I hadn’t even heard about or seen in my online research.
Hardwood in the Kitchen Design
At first, we weren’t considering wood floors in the kitchen. My husband’s home office was located below the kitchen, and Joe had the owner Gary, and project coordinator Sara contact us with design/construction options. As a reviewer on the company had written, “Signature is a construction company ready willing and able to take on all aspect of your remodeling project.” Our townhome was a typical model townhome which was built quickly without much attention to detail and quality. We did expect to run into issues, and the entire Signature team worked it out with/for us, providing advice on the best options, so that in the end we were happy with the decisions we made and how the issues were resolved. In selecting and sourcing the products, Joe was always there for us. Sara was also there for us, checking on the progress of the remodeling, resolving any bottlenecks. She was very polite, extremely helpful, and showed up to the work site frequently. The workmen were very conscientious cleaned up after themselves every day, showed up on time, and worked late when necessary. We highly recommend Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths, and we would not hesitate to use them on any other project in our house
