Georgetown DC Bathroom Design Rave Review
The following comments are from home owners Josiah and Adam who live in a small Georgetown DC row house at 26th St Washington DC 20007.
“I had worked with Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths when remodeling another dc kitchen in my condominium near 20th and U NW Washington DC. So I knew and respected the owner Gary Case. He and his company offer real kitchen & bathroom design flair and highly accomplished craftsmanship, at reasonable prices. Signature designed and did a complete renovation of our Georgetown DC bathroom, located on the second floor of a tightly configured DC row house; the bathroom includes a closet with a stacking washer-dryer. Signature also installed a new dishwasher, reconfigured our above-stove vent to the exterior by piercing through a brick wall, removed some doors from the kitchen to living room, and remodeled a wooden gas meter cabinet.
A Washington DC Georgetown bathroom remodel the size of a closet
“Primarily my partner and I wished to renovate an ugly and somewhat dysfunctional bathroom in our Georgetown home with an eye to potential sale in the next couple of years. Gary respected our wishes not to go overboard but still accomplished an eye-catching bathroom design, including features that we would not have thought of (for example, niches within one of the shower walls to contain shampoo and the like.). Working with Gary in his Rockville MD kitchen & bath showroom made the design process easy. No trips were necessary to tile stores with a bewildering array of choices. Signature has a modest selection of tile and they also have gathered samples of what they think will work best from all the surrounding tile shops. Which is kind of unique.
The end result exceeded expectations. Our DC bathroom renovation is simply beautiful. I knew that I wanted to use a warm travertine for the tile, which Gary did, but he creatively combined this with a decorative glass listello, the colors of which are picked up by the granite counter top on the vanity.
Signatures in house crew during our Georgetown Bathroom Design Remodel
The crew did a meticulous job on the tile work. We are also very pleased with the new radiator in the bathroom and the larger washer/dryer Gary found. Because of their locations, both of these installations were major operations, which the crew executed very well. All of the other work, including the kitchen vent, was handled well too.
Only one significant problem arose during the job (the tile company delivered the wrong floor tile), and Gary handled it entirely to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, though, this did slow down the job. But having been through two renovations now, I would say that you simply need to be ready for some bumps on the road. What matters is how your DC kitchen & bathroom contractor handles problems. Signature is very responsive. The crew always patiently answered questions and made small adjustments that we asked for.
Signature Kithens Additions & Baths is very competitive especially in Georgetown for Bathroom Design Remodel
We secured another bid for this job. The price for the work was comparable, but the other company did not offer any design expertise. I highly doubt that we would have ended up with so spectacular a result. I would happily work with Signature again and recommend the company warmly.
