Marta & Steve had a beautiful house in North Potomac and a not so beautiful master bathroom. The builder grade two shades of beige master bathroom just had to go. The Signature bathroom designer suggested designing around a free standing slipper tub. The Oceania Milano Freestanding Bathtub a six foot long tub that they would tuck into the corner and surround with niches for candles a corner get away. The owner liked that idea and soon it grew to include an open European shower with a Claros Silver tile shower base and stacked 12 by 18 Ivory wall tiles, surrounded with glass. The shower fixtures were Hansgrohe and Kohler in brushed nickel. The master bathroom floor was a grey twelve by twenty Rox Grigio floor tile. The vanities are our semi-custom cabinet line Medallion Cabinetry in a simply white finish, topped with a natural marble counter top. Unfortunately, that marble turned out to be our biggest challenge. Selected by the owner and depicted in the scope of work the owner did not realize that this marble had some serious fissures in it. Fissure that you could only call cracks. At the last minute Gary Case the owner of Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths had to find a more suitable top. One fabricator was visited after another until finally a Carrara marble top was found that the owner fell in love with. If it worked for Julius Caesar well its always a good gamble it will work for you. A bit of cocktail gossip when all are gathered in your new master bathroom or beautiful new kitchen is that in fact.. quarrying began in the mid-first century BCE, probably on the instructions of JULIUS CAESAR and directed by Mamurra, Caesar’s chief engineer in Spain of what we know of today as Carrara Marble named after the then Roman city of Carrara.
It pays to work with a Bathroom Design Remodel Company
“The top I initially selected was a disappointment I should have looked at it in the slab yard like I did with Gary Case the owner of Signature the second go round. That said the bathroom remodeling companies commitment to make me happy was greatly appreciated. Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths wanted to make it right and they did. Marta T
