The fun part for us was her great taste, which comes through in her artful color scheme. We enclosed a window from the inside only, not disturbing the exterior. This clever technique has been used several times this year and almost always results in more countertop space. We made a large custom cabinet to hide the washer/dryer. We added a built in pantry for much more storage.
The result of our collaboration is a mid-century modern style for a timeless elegant look. The contrast of black painted bead-board ceilings and leathered counter top against a light painted cabinetry and a white marble mosaic back-splash is really very stunning. This is especially true when the under-cabinet & recessed LED’s are on. It’s warm and inviting.
